| Another unsatisfied customer......one of the Diva's too! Hello Bill,
Diane is correct about the Actors Club. I was charged money and NEVER got though to reply to any auditions!
I actually had to change my back card and get a new number, to prevent the Actors Club of taking any more of my funds. And I still receive their emails...which I only delete as spam!
Sincerely, Ann-Marie Jordan
-- Bill Kelly www.agencyprotalent.com/billyrose47www.myspace.com/billyrose47From another member Ernest - he says: Bill, She is right. I have had bad experiences with them. They mine information from other free sites and charge you for it. Most of the time the info is either old, incomplete, suspect or, they just do not have connections to the advert. I would never use them. About two years ago, I put an advert on Film.org for a movie I was writing, two days later Actor Club mined the info, put it on their site and sent out adverts as though it was theirs and they had the inside scoop. Little did they know it belonged to me. And they charged people for that. Peace. Ernest

| Our group member Diane Seeger wrote: Bill: As far as I can tell, TheActorClub is a scam. They are unreachable after you sign up, but they continue to charge your account every month. I know this from experience. If you have a way to contact someone there, please tell me who and how. I appreciate it. Thanks. Diane I will stop sending Actors Club leads but I will continue to look over the leads they send me. Sometimes you can tell or find out who is casting the job and avoid getting burned by them. Also want to ask the group if anyone has used and gotten any work from ActorsAccess or ExtrasAccess lately? E-mail me and let me know. -- Bill Kelly www.agencyprotalent.com/billyrose47www.myspace.com/billyrose47Re: ActorsClub - additional info Reply to all Forward Reply by chat Filter messages like this Print Add to Contacts list Delete this message Report phishing Report not phishing Show original Show in fixed width font Show in variable width font Message text garbled? | | | | Here is some recent info on TheActorsClub from Paul Weaver and Loren Schofield. I found one on craigslist and explicitly said in my response, "IF THIS IS ANOTHER ONE OF THOSE BLIND ADS FOR THE ACTORS CLUB, DON'T BOTHER TO RESPOND!!!!" I got the same response as you see below! Paul Weaver

Here’s how it works … To provide you with this example, I just replied to a 02/09/09 craigslist ad (see: http://philadelphia.craigslist.org/tlg/1028187141.html ) and within a minute I received this email: _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Thank you for responding to our Craigslist ad about the new TV show audition. We have received your email and we're now getting back to you. The casting call is for a new comedy show from Lifetime Television called "Alligator Point", and it is being produced by Kelsey Grammer. Check out the link below for more specifics about the casting call. http://ActorClub.go4actors.com The show's first episode is seeking a range of types and ethnicities. Good luck. Sincerely, Geoff Moulton THE ACTOR CLUB _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Anyone who hasn’t been able to contact “Geoff” can click on the link provided in “his” email. It will take you to a solicitation page that includes a “click here for submission info” hotlink (go ahead & check it out). The good news … the above linked page also contains both “Contact Us” and “Cancel Membership” buttons. BE FOREWARNED … this outfit changes their website location(s) frequently, so you have to move quickly to stay up with them. |
